October 22nd 1990. we opened our doors to bring Charlotte county an authentic and quality thai experience.   We were the only thai restaurant Charlotte county had for many many years. I asked multiple banks for loans and got denied because of how far out of town we were. To this day I still get asked why are we in the "boondocks" and not closer to town. I bought this place and transformed it into a restaurant because I wanted to make money for my family not the land lord. Most people said it would never make it but we are about to celebrate 30 years of bringing quality fresh made Thai food to this community. I named it Royal Thai Restaurant because I wanted my customers to feel like royalty when they dined with us . I taught myself how to cook when I was a little girl, and I have never lost the passion. It makes me so happy when the customers say they love my food, I think they can smell it all the way from in town.
